Taking photos in Bokeh mode

With Bokeh mode, you can take photos with a nice blurred background. Blur the background automatically, or manually adjust the blur level before taking the shot.
Important:
  • To get a nice blurred background in your shots, the ideal distance between you and your subject is 50 to 200 cm.
  • You need to be in a well-lit environment to use Bokeh mode.
  • Some features such as zooming, flash, touch autofocus, and continuous shooting are not available in Bokeh mode. HDR Boost is also not available.
  1. On the Home screen, tap the camera icon to open the Camera app.
  2. Switch to Photo or Selfie Photo mode. See Choosing a capture mode for details.
  3. Tap Bokeh off icon to cycle through the Bokeh mode options.

Or open the Photos app to find and open your photo. Photos taken in Bokeh mode are marked with the Bokeh indicator icon.

  2. Tap > Bokeh Mode Editor.
  3. To focus on another subject or area on the photo, just tap on it.
  4. Drag the slider to adjust the blur level of the background or foreground, depending on which part of the photo is in focus.
